Slow Flow

Don't let the "slow" in slow flow fool you -- slow flow yoga can be a workout! Slow flow classes are similar to vinyasa flow classes, but you will often hold poses for longer and focus on mental awareness and steady focus to maintain your position for several breaths. While vinyasa classes move you from pose to pose fairly quickly, slow flows allow you to savor each pose and to dive deeper into the alignment of each to deepen your practice and strengthen your form. Slow flow classes are often more accessible than the faster vinyasa and power flow classes; instructors give more time to move in and out of poses, make greater use of props, and offer more variations for each pose to allow each student to access the poses to their fullest extent. If you're looking for a class to increase your flexibility and improve your endurance, slow flows will be your BFF.
