Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra, or yogic sleep, brings you into a state of deep relaxation. While you are not actually sleeping during yoga nidra, the body falls into a restorative mode while the mind moves inward to a meditative state. Because yoga nidra is guided throughout the practice, it tends to be easier to release spinning thoughts and tune in to the instructor's voice as you follow along in guided relaxation in different parts of your body. If you try one yoga nidra and don't love it, try a few other instructors; like yoga practices, different teachers have varied ways of instructing, so one might resonate with you more. Yoga nidra can be a great energy boost as a short alternative to a nap or a way to get centered and get in touch with your body. We have yoga nidra practices on the site as short as 15 minutes and up to two hours!
