Power yoga is a series of quick, dynamic movements that flow through poses and intentionally engage different muscle groups. Each movement gets one breath and moves you through postures designed to build your endurance, stamina, and strength. Turn up the firepower in your core for these classes; power yoga often involves movements borrowed from other fitness disciplines and variations on traditional asanas to take your workout up a notch. Expect to find the burn in your muscles and focus on strengthening your body and your mind in a rigorous power yoga class.
