Gentle yoga classes are ideal for anyone who just wants to relax while still ganing some flexibility and strength. Gentle yoga is similar to a slow flow class but does not make use of as many strength-based poses like chaturangas and one-legged balances. Expect to use several props to make yourself as comfortable as possible while moving through poses offered at a variety of levels of muscular engagement to suit your needs on any particular day. Gentle yoga is slower and focuses as much on the mindfulness and breath aspects of yoga as it does on the movements. These classes are the perfect option at the end of a long day or for those hoping to increase their mobility without putting too much strain on their joints and muscles.
