Explore the space between balance and strength in this approachable, all-levels class with Jillian Longsworth. You'll begin in a constructive rest pose, then progress through a series of movements to gently release tension in the neck and shoulders. From there, expect to build heat as you seek to embody the title of this class in a slow flow that requires both strength and sensitivity to achieve balance and ease. In this full-spectrum practice, you'll work through a variety of table and plank variations, as well as lunges, hamstring stretches, twists, and balancing poses. Please have two blocks and a bolster or cushion.

Jillian Longsworth

Jillian Longsworth, RYT 500, has been teaching within the Charlotte community for ten years where she owns NoDa Yoga, a studio in Charlotte founded with a mission to make yoga more accessible within the community. She received her Advanced Therapeutics of Yoga Certificate with the Center for Integrative Yoga Studies. She is a certified Veterans Yoga Project Ambassador, with specialized yoga training for war veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder/trauma/TBI/ yoga for the visually impaired and chronic pain. Her studio is a Love Your Brain partner which is a nonprofit to improve the quality of life of people affected by traumatic brain injury through yoga programs that build community and foster resilience. She enjoys teaching restorative, gentle, therapeutic, vinyasa and slow flow. Her vision is to offer a space where individuals can grow physically, mentally and emotionally through a deeper connection to themselves within a supportive community.
