This 35 minute class introduces Muscle Energy and Organic Energy, the 2nd and 5th of Anusara Yoga's Universal Principles of Alignment.
This 35 minute class with Jennifer Harbour is all about Muscle Energy and Organic Energy, the second and fifth Universal Principles of Alignment™ in Anusara Yoga. Muscle Energy is an energetic magnetism of the outer circumference of the body—skin, muscles, bones—into the core of the inner body’s radiance. This harmonious integration creates the commitment necessary to stand in our truth. Organic Energy, then, can be thought of as the counter point to Muscle Energy. It is an extension from the inner body that radiates out in all directions, symbolically representing the ultimate purpose of spirit to expand freely in the most creative and joyful way possible. By the end of this practice, you will have an understanding of how these two principles work together.

Jenifer Harbour

Jenifer Harbour, (Anusara Certified and Yoga Alliance Registered Teacher (E-RYT 500 & YACEP) began the practice of Yoga in 2005, continued in-depth study of Yoga in 2006 with Karen Sprute-Francovich and completed her initial teacher training 2007. She has since completed two Advanced Teacher Training programs at Garden Street and continues to study deeply and widely. Her life-long studentship keeps her teaching fresh and informed. Jen brings her love of Yoga, of the body and its blueprint of alignment, as well as a great sense of focus, fun and enthusiasm to every class she teaches. In addition to teaching at Garden Street School of Anusara Yoga, she teaches Yoga at North Idaho College and teaches Yoga workshops and retreats Internationally on how you Keep Your Aim and steadfastly Remember Yourself. Jen is a Restorative Institute Certified Foot Practitioner, a member of International Association of Yoga Therapists and a member of the Fascia Research Society she is also a Corrective Exercise Specialist with NASM. As a Certified Primal Health Coach, she educates, motivates, and guides her clients toward lifestyle and behavior choices that support their optimal wellness. Jenifer is eternally grateful to Karen, who is her ongoing mentor, to all her teachers in Yoga, and to the wisdom and inspiration she draws from the lineage of Lee Lozowick and Yogi Ramsuratkumar
