Yin for Cooling Fire and Metal

The theme of seeking balance is common in yoga. In Yin Yoga there is a specific focus on a healthy body. Through holding postures for a length of time the Yin (energy flow up the body) and Yang (energy flow down the body) energy flows more freely through the body. The five elements are another aspect of Yin and Yang that relates to nature (the elements and the seasons) per the ancient Chinese beliefs. This yin yoga practice focuses on restoring balance to the heart (fire element) and lung (metal element) meridians. Keep a couple of blocks handy.
