Kia Miller, Los Angeles, CA - The Adi Mantra is the "tune-in" mantra used in Kundalini Yoga. It is chanted three times at the start of each Kundalini Yoga class. Chanted, Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo, it means "I bow to the Creative Wisdom, I bow to the Divine Teacher within."

Kia Miller

Kia Miller is a devoted scholar, practitioner and teacher of Yoga. She imparts her radiant spirit and joy for life in her classes, workshops and retreats throughout the world. Kia teaches at YogaWorks in Los Angeles and leads several of YogaWorks' 200-hour and 300-hour teacher training programs each year. Kia is certified in the Ashtanga/Vinyasa Flow tradition and has studied with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, Chuck Miller, Maty Ezraty, Annie Carpenter and John Berlinsky. In addition, she is a certified Kundalini Yoga teacher and has studied extensively with Guru Singh. Kia grew up in the Falkland Islands, riding horses over vast acres of wild land. Moving to England at 15, she soon joyfully discovered yoga and has been practicing with world-renowned teachers in India, Europe and the US ever since. A successful model and filmmaker, Kia has traveled the world experiencing many different cultures and ways of life. Yoga was, and still is, her way to stay centered and nourished. Kia is passionate about living and breathing yoga, and feels the teachings are a blessing for all. In her classes, Kia brings together a potent mix of asana, breath, meditation and chanting that leaves students uplifted and empowered.
