Ashtanga Yoga instructor, Michael Gannon, introduces the two key bandhas (body locks) practiced in Ashtanga and Vinyasa Yoga: Mula Bandha (Root Lock) and Uddiyana Bandha (Belly Lock).

Michael Gannon spends each year on the road: teaching workshops, trainings and retreats in the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia. After studying Ashtanga in India with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, in 2001 Gannon was authorized to teach by Jois and has imparted his own unique teaching style of the original Vinyasa system to more than 150 teachers worldwide. Gannon has created an instructional breathing CD, “Awaken Your Life Force and Quiet Your Mind;” a DVD, “From Earth to Heaven;” and three yoga practice posters. His first book is due out this year.
