Michael Gannon spends each year on the road: teaching workshops, trainings and
retreats in the Americas, Europe,
Africa and Asia. After studying Ashtanga in India with Sri
K. Pattabhi Jois, in 2001 Gannon was authorized to teach by Jois and has imparted
his own unique teaching style of the original Vinyasa system to more than 150
teachers worldwide. Gannon has created an instructional breathing CD, “Awaken
Your Life Force and Quiet Your Mind;” a DVD, “From Earth to Heaven;” and three
yoga practice posters. His first book is due out this year.
Amazing class, great teacher, inspiring body. If you don't have a barre, you can use a chair for the standing leg work. She also uses a barre for some of the floor work but you really don't need it. The barre is mostly used to provide support and to go a little deeper into the work. You need a mat, chair or barre, open wall space, and hand weights. Great workout!
