Lily Dwyer Begg has been teaching yoga since 2005. Her work has led her to teach in yoga studios internationally as well as to the Golden State Warriors, an NCAA diving team, professional dance companies, and therapeutically with private clients as well as creating the volunteer organization wOMen's yoga collective, which offers free weekly yoga classes to homeless women and children. Lily has studied with Shiva Rea, Ana Forrest, Don and Amba Stapleton, David Moreno, yoga for scoliosis with Elise Browning Miller, Ayurveda with Kameko Shibata, and Prenatal yoga with Marisa Toriggino. She is a California license massage therapist and has studied anatomy with Art Riggs, Thomas Myers, and Narelle Carter Quinlan. Lily grew up in the dance studio, has studied ballet and modern dance her whole life, and prior to moving to Baltimore, she worked as a professional modern dancer with the San Francisco troupe, LEVYdance, and as a freelancer in Berlin, Germany. She currently makes her home in Baltimore with her husband, Aaron and son, Blaise, who teach her at the same time to let go, trust, love, and laugh with her whole being and also to remember how fleeting this all is.
