The basics of mindful movement – a Tai chi-inspired movement flow that will give you insight into the mental and emotional connections to the body. This class will incorporate basic/beginner Tai chi as well as other warm-up and cool down exercise science. Class may also include option of mindfulness meditation instruction, visualization, and breathing practice. This class is designed to bring deeper connection to the internal state of being; allowing those seeking stress reduction, greater focus, or better mind-body connection to really dive deeper into their intention!

RYT-500 and a certified education provider with Yoga Alliance under the lineage of the Balanced Unity school of Yoga; Carolyn provides multi-disciplinary instruction youth to senior, all-levels taught from beginner to accomplished athletes.  Original co-founder of Yoga for Recovery non-profit for trauma and rehab as well as the virtual studio she operates with her partner Unity Movement & Mindfulness; Carolyn has been teaching in online formats for over three years. Trained in Kung Fu and Tai Chi earning disciple level at the Peaceful Dragon in Charlotte, NC with competition experience, placing at both CACMA and Kuoshu tournaments 2011-2012. Carolyn is operations manager now for Taylor Riley Boxing Unlimited and continues to train in combat sports and fitness with Team Taylor Riley. To round out her experience she became a Mindful Leader facilitator in June 2020 and currently leads corporate/group mindfulness privately as well as through children and teen programs for high-risk and disadvantaged students. Having left a 20+ year career in corporate high-tech in 2020 Carolyn remains professionally nimble by supporting YogaVibes as Operations Manager.
