7 Daily Affirmations to Help Shape Your 2021

Every new year, we’re greeted by an opportunity to start fresh. And through this blank slate, we can find the motivation to work on ourselves, create new habits, and reach our goals. The new year is a time of hope and renewal, and after a year like 2020, those are things we could all use more of. Sometimes though, it can be hard to dive into new habits and routines. That’s where daily affirmations can help remind us what goals we’re working toward, and provide us with the motivation we need to reach them.

You’ve probably heard of affirmations – they’re short mantras or sayings you can say to yourself out loud or inwardly. They’re meant to provide positivity and motivation when you’re dealing with negativity or self-doubt. They can provide just the boost our self-esteem or self-confidence needs to overcome the hurdles life throws at us. While the trials of 2020 are finally over, there’s no doubt that 2021 will bring its own fair share of challenges. In light of that, here are 7 daily affirmations that you can use to help shape this year into a more positive one.

Daily affirmations to bring in the New Year

Below are some of our favorite affirmations for the New Year. Notice how they’re all in present-tense? That’s because we want to channel our focus into how we’ll feel in the future, not how we’re feeling now. When we’re feeling down or unmotivated, it can be powerful to envision the opposite.

Feel free to practice each and every one of these, or pick one or two that resonate the most with you and you’re own goals.

  1. “I let go of the past, and move toward a better future.”

  2. “I am proud of myself and all of my accomplishments.”

  3. “Fear doesn’t stop me from pursuing my dreams.”

  4. “I am gentle with myself, and recognize the importance of self-care.”

  5. “In 2021, all is possible.”

  6. “I am in charge of how I feel today.”

  7. “I am worthy.”
