This Anusara Hatha Yoga training is definitely a rare opportunity.  Because of Covid and special considerations, this is the first year you can do a Yoga Alliance & Anusara Yoga accredited 200-hour yoga training and have Adam Ballanger as your trainer.

About Adam Ballanger:

For years Adam's been a regular guest teacher, leading trainings all around the world.  His specialty courses are some of the most sought after in the industry.  If you haven't heard much about Adam it's probably because he's more known as a teacher trainer than fancy practitioner.  Adam is however well known for his deep knowledge of alignment, function and movement (heavily influenced by his undergraduate and graduate work in anatomy, health and kinesiology), as well as decades of meditation, mindfulness and philosophical studies.

What you’ll learn:


This course combines philosophical concepts for teaching, practice, and daily life, heavily influenced by non-dual Tantra, with practical and technical aspects of asana and movement that will also be related to modern concepts on healthy human movement.  The Anusara School of Hatha Yoga has long been recognized for its fantastic movement and alignment technique.

Participants of the Immersion Teaching Skills session (second 100 hrs), will be introduced to these foci and more,
  • General Principals of the postures (Standing yoga postures, Inversions, Backbends, Forward bends, Twists, Core, Restoratives)
  • Sequencing
  • Class Compositions
  • Creating Set and Setting
  • Teaching Preparation
  • Using themes as part of teaching

  • Types of Adjustments & Skill of Adjusting

Expectations and information:

  • Students are required to attend live broadcasted Immersion & TT sessions, live on-line. Access to reliable wifi and
  • Sessions will be recorded to Zoom and be made available to students within the following week.
  • If a student misses a portion of a session, they are expected to find the missed information in the recordings and review that material before the next weekend.
  • Attendance at 10 out of 13 Live Broadcasted live class sessions by the lead teacher is required in order to receive your certificate of completion.
  • Students must actively participate in and complete the following: journaling, research, home quizzes & home projects.
  • Sessions will remain available for registered participants through the training, and 30 days from the final meeting.
  • Any student caught sharing recordings with non-participants without permission, will be removed from the training without refund.

Cancelation Policy: 2 weeks prior 90% is refunded (minus $250 deposit) 2 days prior 50% is refunded (minus $250 deposit). Less than 2 days No Refund.

Dates and Times

Weekend Hours, Sat & Sun, approximately 7.5 hrs/day, approximately 13 weekends. A number of Sunday sessions will finish 60 minutes early, specific dates TBD. The lead teacher of this training is Adam Ballenger. This course will be presented in English. **Guest Instructors may be invited to teach sections. This course should meet both YA standards and Anusara Yoga standards.

(At this time, a decision of maintaining the September 25/26 weekend to allow participants to make up any needed hours not been determined. Currently this weekend is on the schedule which may change. The option allows participants who have missed sessions to make up hours if needed. The option of this extra weekend on the schedule may also allow us to reduce hours on needed weekends.)
