This online mat Pilates class brings the benefits of Pilates training - increased strength, lean muscle development, lengthening, and toning of the body - both to and beyond the core. Start with a shoulder opener using the resistance band and then use it for some squat exercises. This class will utilize the Pilates principle of body-weight resistance training in specific muscle-group strengthening. Elements from yoga and exercise physiology inform the class, as well. You'll work all major muscle groups to lengthen and strengthen your entire body. Have a resistance band or strap available. (60 mins.)

Alexandra DeSiato is a Pilates and Vinyasa Flow instructor. Her all levels online yoga sequences are sweat inducing and core strengthening, infused with elements of Pilates. Good class, I did not find this as challenging as the Core, Hips & Inner Thighs class, so will probably do that one next time. Glad I have found Alexandra's classes anyway, she is a great instructor and always has the best random comments that make me smile. (Posted on 3/8/2016)
