Fusing the disciplines of core conditioning, PIlates, the Lotte Berk Method, and yoga, this highly acclaimed transformational fitness experience incorporates 50 years of collective teacher expertise. She brings her dance background, expertise in movement and inspiring energy to each class. wonderfully fast paced, i loved it! i had to get creative to do this class away from the studio and without a barre-- i used some soy milk boxes for weights. i could figure out what to do without the barre most of the time and there were options given for many, but not all the exercises. anybody know how to do pull ups w/o a barre? Having only done the DVDs before, I really liked the 'new to me' exercises in this class. The 4th position standing leg work really made me wince with the burn - great! I also loved the elbow tap and punch in the curl position, and the twisted abdominal work that started the ab work series. The instructor was great with adjustment pointers and I liked how she sometimes referred to what part of the anatomy stretches were for so I knew how to adjust myself to feel it in the correct place and make the most of that stretching time. Getting a new core fusion workout, and an advanced one at that was like Christmas morning! This workout was fast paced but doable after completing all the other core fusion workouts on yogavibes and doing a couple dozen studio classes. (Still did pushups on my knees though!) (Posted on 4/3/2013)
