This is a Mixed Level Dharma Yoga practice that gives one a very real experience of the classical yoga teaching that has made Yogi Sri Dharma Mittra in such demand as a teacher the world over for so many years now. Those new to yoga and those who already have an established practice will all find much to inspire them in this complete yoga practice. Maha Shakti is primarily asana (yoga postures), but what's on offer here represents a complete practice including both guided Deep Healing Relaxation (7 minutes) and a final meditation (3 minutes). This program is an excellent introduction for those new to Dharma Yoga and the powerful teaching of Sri Dharma Mittra and it will make those that miss spending time with him at the New York Center feel very much at home. "I look forward to serving you only the best of the best," says Sri Dharma Mittra.

Challenging and deep Review by ling
Definitely not for beginners, as others have said, have to watch your knees on the pigeon pose and also adapt for full back bend. Good to have something to work towards. Enjoyed this practise, the voice and mood created suited me (Posted on 5/29/2017)

Really amazing class, very inspiring and relaxing. I have never done Dharma yoga before but have practiced yoga, varying from very regular to semi-regular, for the past 15 years, and I would echo that I would not consider this for beginners. Maybe if you were taking a class in person, but I think it would be very hard to a beginner to understand how to get into many of the poses in this online class as the instruction is minimal. It is my first class with Sri Dharma and I am so thankful for the opportunity to experience his class. Amazing. (Posted on 7/29/2015)

I enjoyed this class, the pacing, his voice, the sequences. It should not be considered for beginners, though. Traditional pigeon is an advanced pose, as are many of the binds. It should be re-labeled for Intermediate to Advanced. (Posted on 4/12/2015)

That was the first ever yoga practice that left me slightly immobilized. Having said this, I do love the flow and everything. What I'm pretty sure of is that the cramps in my arms contributed to this sensation when we tucked our shoulders under our knees an rested our heads to the mat. I still have function in my arms,(obviously since I'm typing!) but I hope my arm recuperates fully soon! (Posted on 7/10/2014)

I'm so thrilled that you have these classes available online. I only had the pleasure of taking one class with S.D.Mittra, which was the first time I ever worked my way into a headstand. Even when I can't do everything, it's wonderful to see where the poses lead and learn from this great teacher. (Posted on 1/13/2014)
