I was a little perplexed with the opposite movement/direction of the breath. On the inhale the breath moves down/diaphragm moves down, on the exhale/the breath moves up/diaphragm moves up. Why was the direction opposite to anatomy here? Just curious....it felt nice none the less (Posted on 5/8/2014)

Jeanne has the uncanny ability to deliver thoughtful instruction about alignment through a profoundly meditative lens. This class on mood-lifting was no exception. By creating length in the side-body, we made space for breath. By making space for breath, we made space for peace. By the end of practice, I felt more relaxed than I had all week. Try it!
