Gabriel Azoulay

Gabriel Azoulay began studying yoga from books and videos. From there, he moved on to two years of daily practice with Ashtanga teacher Tim Miller and six months in Mysore, India, where he studied with back bending master Vinay Kumar. He studied Thai Massage in Thailand and India, eventually developing Thai Yoga, a yoga partner practice. In 2007, he opened Rejuvenation Thai Massage and Yoga Center. Azoulay's book, Breath the Yogic Prime, highlights experiences shared by him and his students on and off the mat.

Great class. The time went quickly for me, even in poses I that are often a struggle for me to hold for so long. My legs are so tight today that I wish he had shared more adjustments to protect the knees. I had to move out of a couple poses when one of my knees started feeling a little funky.

But overall, fantastic class -- and I agree with everyone else here who has asked for more yin classes!! Yes, please!!! (Posted on 5/30/2015)

I also regularly practice strong Vinyasa styles of yoga and was looking to find some balance with a more restorative class. The class was absolutely brilliant and perfect to release all the tension I was holding on too. Gabriel is a wonderful teacher with great stories throughout - I could listen to him all day. I have been practicing Mysore style Ashtanga for about 3 months. I have been struggling with the soreness that I feel with a daily practice. This class was exactly what I needed.
