I enjoy the video as I am used to classes taught in his style and it hits a variety of things. I do agree this is not for beginners as there aren't sufficient cues for people not familiar with this flow. Also, his counting is not particularly appealing. (Posted on 9/25/2015)

I agree with Katy K. This did not feel like a Level I class to me nor totally accessible to those who have not done quite a bit of yoga. I'm a beginner and constantly had to look at the screen to reference the cues as they didn't give me enough info to do the pose. The description does say accessible but, unlike someone like Sage Rountree, he doesn't cover any sort of modification or cues for beginner's that I could tell. I would consider this a challenging class for Level 2 or above. I also cannot hold the breaths as long as his poses - and, in the end, this was not a good fit for a beginning practitioner. Despite being a Level 1 class, there are very few alignment cues for less experienced yogis. If I hear him count down from five one more time I might scream! Also, uses very few (no?) sanskrit terms for the poses. (Posted on 6/16/2013)

I didn't think I would be able to make it through a one hour yoga class online -- for mental, not physical, reasons. This is the first long class I tried -- ever -- that I like enough to do more frequently. I've rotated it with the 1.2 and 2.1 on here and I love them all. Gates makes this very accessible to the beginner and appealing for those of us exploring yoga as a new practice in our lives, for all it can lead us to. Thank you Rolf! (Posted on 1/17/2013)
