Looking to add more core strengthening to your routine? This short mat Pilates class taught by Alexandra DeSiato will do just that! You'll spend the first half of the class in a supine position working through boat pose variations, then you'll switch to a prone position and explore the subtle (but challenging!) core engagement necessary to protect the lower back in sphinx and "Superman" poses. Throughout the practice you'll be given the option to introduce movement. Add this brief sequence to the end of a workout or yoga practice — or do it as a spicy lil' boost when you're short on time.
