Teacher: Sage Rountree
Style: Yin
Length: 61 mins.
Difficulty: Level 1

In this class for athletes (and everyone), we take a yin approach to working around the hips. Take the time for this quiet practice and finish with a new sense of centeredness and an openness in your hips and spine. A bolster, blocks and blankets or homemade equivalents will be needed to support the long holds.

Sage Roundtree is fantastic. I love the way she sets up each pose to be whatever is going to work for you -- with so many options for how to be in that pose, and yet this does not at all diminish the value of each yin hold. I also appreciate the level of talking she provides...to give some context for how to think about how to experience (and persist in!) each pose. (Posted on 4/2/2015)
