Sigrid Matthews 500 E-RYT has been teaching yoga and fitness since 1986. Sigrid earned her B.A. in Theatre, Film, and Television at UCLA where she studied movement and dance extensively. She also studied yoga with her first teacher Billy Porter. Sigrid moved to Europe where she acted and did voice over work as well as attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts where she studied the Alexander Technique. I've never practiced yoga but I keep hearing that it's wonderful for stress. When I saw the title of this video I decided to sit and watch it. After only a few minutes, I found myself inhaling and exhaling. This instructor has such a calm and soothing voice. It seemed to just draw me in. I felt as if I wanted to be in that room with her and everyone else. I'm going to look into taking a yoga class or maybe even two. This was a real education for me. (Posted on 1/24/2014)
