This arm balance requires the space for deep twists and open hips in order to achieve lift off. As such, expect an abundance of juicy hip opening and twists in preparation. This is a challenging, choose-your-own-adventure pose, so remember the goal is play—not perfection! Besides, the aforementioned emphasis on hips and twists are reason enough to take this class, even if arm balances aren't in your practice at the moment. Please have one black available.
