Piriformis: Ten Letter Word for Pain

The piriformis is a little muscle that has a big job. It stretches from the sacrum to the greater trochanter, it bridges our upper and lower body and is responsible for the external rotation of the hip. When this muscle is tight we may feel a pin in the backside (think pigeon pose) that sometimes radiates down the leg (sciatica). This online yoga practice will help to stretch and massage away the tension in the piriformis. Have a block or two available for this class that was filmed by Coral Brown at All That Matters.
