Yoga Class Description

In this online yoga class for athletes and everyone, we focus on strengthening and stretching the hips. Along the way, we pay special attention to the IT band, a common area of tightness in runners. You'll finish feeling calm, open, and happy! A block or blanket would be a nice prop to have on hand. (73 mins.)

There are a few vinyasa moments, but the practice is a bit more relaxing than that without being a full-on restorative practice. While I enjoyed it, the practice was rather long to be one I would tack on to the end of a long workout, yet not vigorous enough that I would do this on a day without a good run.

Sage may be my favorite teacher on this site - and this was a great practice, but it did not seem to focus on the IT band, as the title suggests. All of the work would certainly help the general area, but I was expecting much more focus to really release the IT band and that never came...I think renaming this one would make sense.

Very precise cuing allowed me to be able to practice without needing to be watching the screen! I enjoyed Sage's "yoga voice"...very calming and centering. This is the first of Sage's offerings that I've practiced...but not the last!
