Yoga Class Description

Awareness of our body is the first step toward a more loving relationship with your body. In this online yoga class, we will draw our attention to our body through a slow flow standing sequence. This class is designed for beginners or folks who would love a gentle, full body stretch today, culminating in a curvy loving kindness meditation to send you on your way with gentleness. You may want to have a couple of blocks and a strap available. (49 mins.)

As a woman recovering from an eating disorder, I was told that yoga would help. Since leaving treatment and my beloved yoga instructor, I have had very little luck finding a class that made me feel welcome within my own skin. Nor have I encountered anything as encouraging & comforting than finishing this kind yoga class with that meditation. It brought tears to my eyes. I completed the class thanking myself for making the effort to spend some time in my body, and bowing to this teacher for inspiring me to continue to learning to love my softness in the face of a hard world.

As a curvy woman I am delighted to see this online yoga class. Often people have the vision that every yogini is slim and taut but so what if they are not! Yoga is for everyone! At one class I attended the teacher was rounded like me and I heard people talk negatively about this. Again, yoga is for everyone. All ages and all shapes!
