Learn the basics of an Iyengar-based hatha yoga class. You will learn how to safely work in all the basic groups of poses with or without props. In this online yoga class, Kim will teach you stability in standing poses, how to get comfortable being upside-down, how to safely practice forward bends, the proper way to twist yourself to a better back, and finally the best way to begin practicing backbends. She specializes in therapeutic yoga for those of all ages living with arthritis. She knows first hand what challenges a diagnosis of arthritis can bring; arthritis runs in her family. Kim McNeil has seen how the disease affects the well-being and quality of life of her friends, family, and clients, many of whom are young adults. She works to help them manage their chronic pain, regain their independence, sleep better, manage stress, and feel their age again.
