Pitta Balancing: Afternoon Practice with Kyra Anastasia

Pitta, the fire element, is predominant in the afternoon and often becomes out of balance due to overstimulation and excessive activity, producing anger and frustration. By mid-day, when we are often at our busiest, Pitta can be reduced by moving slowly, coordinating the breath with mindful movements. In order to reduce the heat of this Dosha, we explore breathing techniques, moon salutations and wide legged poses to help us slow down and cool off. This afternoon online yoga practice also offers an opportunity to cultivate compassion and acceptance, and reminds us to embrace a playful attitude. (33 mins.)
