Yoga Class Description

Create space in the physical, energetic, personal, and symbolic layers of your being so that the light from your inner body can shine through. In Shala's Yin yoga classes, you will target the connective tissue of the hips, pelvis and lower spine. Shala cues modifications for all. You may want to have a block and blanket available. Music provided by Shaman's Dream. (60 mins.)

This didn't really fulfill my yin needs; 2 poses held in length do not a yin practice make. It was a nice relaxing practice, just not what I expected or desired when choosing a class marked Yin.

I love Shalas teaching style, which brings a beautiful awareness to subtle internal energy, along with the physical practice. A great class for transitioning out of a busy day, beginning with slow floor-based flow before moving into holds I, too wish the audiio was better.

Great class. I enjoyed listening to the teacher's voice and instructions, and this is beautiful Yin sequence. The only distracting part is the audio quality, it changes and you can hear audible shifts and microphone moving sounds especially in the beginning and a bit during the rest of the video.



Shala Worsley

In her classes, Shala Worsley draws on the alignment traditions of Iyengar, the flowing aspects of Ashtanga and Vinyasa, as well as therapeutic yoga, Yin yoga, meditation, pranayama and yoga philosophy. She's passionate about practicing yoga in nature and exploring our innate connection to the Earth and the cosmos. Shala is the director of her own Asheville School of Massage and Yoga and teaches at the Asheville Yoga Center.
