Begin with pranayama exercises and slowly warming up the spine and legs before moving into Sun Salutations and standing poses. Focus on activating the inner thighs, lengthening the sides of the body and hollowing the core. Practice some complementary opposites as you bring attention to being effortlessly alive. Rolf points out that finding ease in your practice and in your life doesn't mean backing off, necessarily. Work on standing balances, such as eagle pose and variations, dancer's pose, and tree pose before moving to the ground for backbends and reclining hip openers. Time is spent on camel pose and modifications to ensure proper alignment. Enjoy the long savasana after a challenging Vinyasa class! Have two blocks and a strap available. (95 mins.)
