Begin with a seated meditation that allows you to settle and focus and move into a flow sequence focused on shoulder opening and hip opening. Move through creative sun salutations that allow shoulder opening and stretching before leading into several variations of malasana, yogic squat. Michelle Johnson has been practicing yoga since 2000. In May of 2009 she completed a 200 hour Power Yoga Training in Chapel Hill, North Carolina at Franklin Street Yoga Center with Lori Burgwyn. She is currently in a 500 hour yoga training with Stephanie Keach of Asheville Yoga Center. She loves the connection of the mind, body and spirit and brings that into all of her classes. Michelle's goal is to help students connect with their breath and build strength, flexibility and focus. She loves witnessing students connect more deeply with their bodies and their mental, spiritual and emotional selves.
