Astavakrasana, Eight Angle Posture, is a fun, yet challenging arm balance from the Ashtanga Yoga method that relies on a perfect balance between strength and flexibility. In this online yoga class, Kino MacGregor leads you through both the foundational strengthening and opening necessary to practice Astavakrasana. Use approach postures to understand the basics of this arm balance and finally build up to transitioning into Astavakrasana directly from downward facing dog. Build your strength in both body and mind. Filmed on location at the Four Seasons Hotel in Miami. (19 mins.)

Globally recognized Ashtanga Yoga teacher, author, speaker, YouTuber, and Instagram sensation, Kino MacGregor is something of a celebrity in the yoga world. At age 29 - just 10 years after taking her yoga class - she became the youngest woman to receive certification to teach Ashtanga Yoga by its visionary, Sri K. Pattabhi Jois.
