Yoga Class Description

Joan carefully introduces you to the fundamentals of the Ashtanga yoga system in a slow, safe, and supportive way. You will learn Sun Salutations along with the basic standing postures that open up the series. This is a basic online yoga practice designed for all levels and anyone that is interested in Ashtanga Yoga. The sequence is taught up to the seated poses and then moves into bridge pose to warm up the shoulders for shoulderstand at the wall, preparing for a simple pranayama to close. This sequence is a safe sequence to add to your home practice and you can take this practice with you wherever you go! Two blankets and a strap are needed and all levels are welcome! (52 mins.)
