Core Fusion® Barre + Cardio with Nicole Uribarri

Class Description

In this class you will combine the cardio benefits of interval training with the toning benefits of a barre class, resulting in a fun, sweaty, fat-burning, calorie-burning, muscle-sculpting combo class that will transform your entire body! This class is broken down into two 30 minute sections. The first half hour includes sprints with short recovery periods followed by barre-based sequences that will sculpt and define your thighs, butt and abs in the second half hour! Have two pairs of light hand-weights available (3 and 4 pounds is recommended), as well as socks and a chair or barre. Filmed live at exhale Central Park South, this class was taught by Nicole Uribarri. (60 mins.)

This is a fantastic workout - feels like an advanced workout! Nicole is an amazing instructor. This was an extremely challenging workout between the cardio amd bsrre. The cardio part was really intense (one of Nicole"s hardest cardio workouts I have taken) and then with the barre work my thighs felt like they were on fire! Wow this is really the best of the best!!!

Excellent class, always love Nicole's strong, clear, and encouraging instruction. Cardio section was a real challenge, the mountain climbers/plank jacks etc. felt like a break from the cardio interval sections when usually they feel like the tough part for me. Barre section was a real burn as well with the tired legs.

Nicole Romano Uribarri

Nicole Romano Uribarri is a personal trainer, yoga teacher, dancer and fitness coach specializing in holistic, enjoyable and long-term approaches to well-being. Over more than a decade, her experience has ranged from helping girls learn a proper plie to helping women increase their flexibility, balance and endurance. She also trains men of all ages, challenging them with exercises that make them question their old strength-training routines. In 2008 Nicole was made an Ambassador for lululemon athletica. Since 2009, she has served as mind-body manager at exhale spa Chicago, where she previously taught Core Fusion, Core Fusion Sport and Core Fusion Yoga, as well as consulted privately with individual clients. More recently, she has continued to serve exhale's guests directly while overseeing training for the spa's instructors. She is also a member of The Leopold Group, a contemporary dance company in the city, and in 2006, she appeared in the Lyric Opera of Chicago's production of "Salome." Formerly, she was an apprentice with Hedwig Dances and a scholarship trainee at the Hubbard Street Dance Center. Certified as a personal trainer by the American College of Sports Medicine, she earned a bachelor of arts degree, with honors, from the Florida State University's School of Visual Arts & Dance. She has also completed residencies with the American Ballet Theatre, the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance and the Orlando Ballet. In 2010 Nicole completed her yoga teacher training at Yogaview under the amazing direction of Claire Mark, Geri Bleier, Quinn Kearney, and Tom Quinn. In 2011 Nicole accomplished her life long goal of running a marathon! She ran the Chicago Bank of America marathon with a finishing time of 4:34.
