What does it mean to be centered in our hearts? And how can our physical practice help support us in staying in that space? We explore these questions through a deep shoulder opening Anusara yoga practice. We look at the alignment of the shoulders and work to refine this alignment as we move through sun salutations, handstand, deep shoulder openers, standing poses, and backbends. Baby kapinjalasana, full pigeon and full dancer pose are our "for fun" poses of the class. A strap, belt or old tie is helpful to have on hand for this online yoga practice. Variations are offered for all advanced poses. Through the opening of the physical space around the anahata chakra (the energetic heart center) may we be supported in awakening to the vibration of our hearts. (88 mins.)
