Begin by focusing on the breath, increasing mobility in the spine and opening the hamstrings and hips in this online yoga class. Move into a flowing sequence with high lunge, twists and downward facing dog core work. Generate heat with several rounds of Sun Salutations followed by a standing sequence that includes chair pose, Warrior poses, revolved triangle and revolved half moon and side plank with options. The final standing sequence will offer chances to bind both extended side angle and revolved extended side angle. There will be many opportunities for challenging yourself along the way. End with two bow poses, and one more playful backbend with the big toes together, maybe eventually the toes touch the top of the head! A long pigeon pose and several hip openers will lead you into savasana. Have a block and strap available. (58 mins.)
