I normally love all of Goldie's classes but this felt more like a fusion/calisthenics class. I wasn't expecting to work that hard and I was cursing my computer 15 minutes in. This is listed as powe yoga but it really didn't seem like yoga to me until we made it down for floor stretches If you are wanting to sweat and get a cardio workout in..this is a great class. It just wasn't for me today.

Good cardio workout. Not a ton of variety in the poses though. Would have liked a few more alignment cues as well.



Goldie Oren

Goldie Oren is a popular yoga teacher in New York City. She has combined her background as a former professional ballerina with yoga to form her characteristic high-energy Vinyasa flow classes. She teaches at numerous locations in the City, including exhale spa, Reebok Sports Club NY, Sports Club LA, SLT Yoga, and David Barton Gym. She also works individually with private clients in their homes. Goldie earned a B.A. from Johns Hopkins University, majoring in Writing and recently is the author of a new two-part book series titled "Anatomy of Fitness: Yoga." She has also demonstrated her beautiful yoga practice through modeling in numerous yoga books, including: "Anatomy of Yoga: An Instructor's Guide To Improving Your Poses," and "Healthy Back Anatomy."
