Ahila Gulasekaram is a Yogiños: Yoga for Youth® inspired instructor at the Crow Collection of Asian Art Museum in Dallas, TX. Ahila's classes are uniquely influenced by her background and passion for classical Indian dance. She has been nurturing her love for dance for the past 29 years. As a senior member of Arpana Dance Company, Ahila has performed extensively throughout the US, Europe, and India. A recipient of the Kohinoor Award (1998) for Classical Arts and Culture, her dancing was more recently recognized with the LA Treasures Award (2008) from the California Traditional Music Society as well as the Artist Resource for Completion Grant from the Durfee Foundation (2008). Through dance and yoga, she is committed to helping kids make OHMazing™ choices for themselves, others, and the environment.
