Preggo? Zap Your Back Pain in 3 Minutes ~ Prenatal Yoga Sequence

Apr 12, 2012

Mamas to be, I must tell you an ugly truth. Some gals love to gestate, all rosy and happy and skipping, and others limp through those 10 (9 months is a lie!) months with gritting teeth, eyes on the prize, all wanna-be-a-mama resolve. But whatever your demeanor, for most of us, there are some…adjustments…to be made as a tiny human reorganizes our internal organs. Even though my baby makin’ days are over (by choice – 3′s a plenty!), I recall the aches and discomfort that accompanied the joyous journey of motherhood.

What helped? Yoga. And chocolate. And cupcakes. But I can’t give you chocolate and cupcakes, so here’s some great yoga for the back pain so often associated with incubating your fetal wonder.

In three minutes, Jenny Neuville’s free yoga sequence will have you sighing with joy, as the kinks of fecundity dissolve. Tuck this sequence into your free time (if this is your first, relish it!) for an immediate boost. Want more? Try Jenny’s full-length online yoga classes! And take heart. If you’re not glowing and bopping and dancing along, it’s worth it. Back ache and all.

New Free Yoga Videos: What is Yoga? + Why Practice Yoga?

Dec 14, 2011

Over the last few months we’ve been collecting videos from YogaVibes partnering instructors around the world and asking them to tell us “why yoga”?

We’ll be posting these online yoga videos on YouTube in the coming weeks. The heart-felt, passionate answers we received are really amazing! Some of the questions we asked were:

  • What is Yoga?
  • What does Yoga mean to you?
  • Why did you start practicing Yoga?
  • What is Anusara Yoga?
  • Why practice Yoga?
  • Why practice Prenatal Yoga?

We look forward to sharing these videos with you and hearing what yoga means to you and why you started practicing yoga.

Here’s the first video from Core Strength Vinyasa Yoga founder, and YogaVibes teacher, Sadie Nardini, on why she started practicing yoga.
